Late Night basketball is for coed for grades 9-12. The registration fee is $40. Registration runs from Monday February, 17th to Friday, March 8th. Games will begin the week of April 3rd.

REFUND POLICY: There will be a $20 fee for all refunds.

Youth Basketball is open only to Arlington, VA residents (see below).

INCOME-BASED FEE REDUCTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL ARLINGTON RESIDENTS. Please contact the Registration Office for more information or to confirm fee reduction status at 703-228-4747 or see County Fee Reductions. Children who receive free lunch pay 25% of the basketball registration fee; children who receive reduced lunch pay 50%. Children who do not receive free or reduced lunch may still be eligible for reduced fees based on verified income. Families must have a current fee reduction in the County DPR database to qualify for a reduced fee. If you have not completed the DPR fee reduction process within the last year, or your eligibility has expired, you will need to provide new documentation to qualify for a basketball fee reduction. Players eligible for fee reductions should choose the pay by check option on the payment page. Registrants will then need to contact their commissioner. The commissioner will confirm fee reduction eligibility and provide additonal directions for completing the reduced fee payment. Documentation will be required; fee reductions must be approved by DPR. Contact your commissioner for more information.

Individuals requesting fee reductions also may register in person at the Arlington Sports Office, or via mail. The letter from Arlington Public Schools confirming 2018-19 free or reduced lunch status is the easiest way to qualify for fee reductions (please bring your letter to the Registration Office at 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive, 22206, along with the fee reduction application form (English, Spanish), photo ID, and proof of Arlington residency).

Residency: All players must be Arlington County residents as of the date of their first game. 'Resident' is defined as:

  • a person or family living within the geographical boundaries of Arlington County, Virginia.
  • a person or family whose property is bisected by the county boundary and that of an adjacent jurisdiction, such that real estate taxes are paid to Arlington County.
  • a person or family owning property and paying real estate taxes in Arlington County even though that person or family resides outside the county boundary.
  • Current employees of the Arlington County Board or the Arlington County School Board, and their immediate family members.
  • Nonresident, full-time students who attend a public or private school in Arlington County.

Concussion Awareness: To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. We suggest that parents take this opportunity to educate themselves on the symptoms of concussions and the appropriate way to monitor them. You will be surprised as to how many signs there are that most take for granted or simply miss.
